With over 30 years of banking experience, Mr. Dorababu Daparti brings deep expertise, sound judgment, and a people-centred leadership approach. He holds an M.Sc. degree and the CAIIB certification from the Indian Institute of Bankers.

As Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dorababu contributes to organisational effectiveness by aligning governances, processes and people capability, reinforcing ethical standards and regulatory integrity across the organisation.

Since joining SBI in 1995, he has served across rural, semi-urban, and metropolitan centres, building insight into diverse customer segments. He has also gained international exposure, serving in Sri Lanka as Head of Credit, holding a senior role at (DGM and HOD at SBI’s International Banking group) overseeing overseas expansion and planning, and later led as Country Head & CEO in Maldives, driving customer-centric digital initiatives, including payment gateway integration, real-time cross-border remittances, and eKYC.

His leadership is grounded in empathy, trust, and purposeful action, driving progress, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes.
