Mr. Subodh Kumar Jha joined SBI Life Insurance in June 2022 and brings with him over 34 years of experience in the BFSI sector. Throughout his professional journey, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to building inclusive workplaces, nurturing high-performing teams, and fostering employee-friendly environments where individuals feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Prior to joining SBI Life, he held several strategic and operational roles at State Bank of India (SBI) across India and overseas. He began his professional journey with SBI in 1991 as a Probationary Officer and handled several key assignments across Retail, Corporate and International Banking, and the Strategic Training Unit. During his tenure with the International Banking Group, he served as Senior Vice President at SBI Frankfurt, Germany, from 2014 to 2019, gaining valuable exposure to global banking practices and cross-cultural work environments.

In his current role, he leads the Human Resources (HR) and Management Services (MS) functions, with strategic responsibility for aligning HR and MS policies and processes with the company’s objectives and goals, while ensuring our company remains one of the best places to work. He believes that motivated, empowered, and well-equipped employees are instrumental to the sustainable growth of the organization and to delivering an enhanced customer experience.
