Mr. Amit Jhingran joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in August 1991. In a career spanning over 30 years with SBI, he has held various assignments across International Banking, Retail Banking and Branch Management.

Prior to this, he was posted as Chief General Manager, Hyderabad Circle and as CEO of SBI, Chicago. He has also held various responsibilities during his career including Regional Manager and has also headed various branches under his direct control.

Mr. M. Anand is the President & Chief Distribution Officer at SBI Life Insurance. He joined the company in the year 2014 and since then has been playing an instrumental role in the growth story of the company. With over 32 years of rich experience in varied segments of Banking & Insurance, he continues to lead strategies that are closely aligned with company's business objectives. Currently, he is responsible in leading business & marketing strategies in key regions across the country.

Prior to this, he has worked with various others insurance companies like HDFC Life, TATA AIA Life in various capacities which involved heading business channels, managing businesses P&L at the national level.

Before moving to the insurance industry, he had a stint of fourteen years in the banking sector working with ANZ Grindlays Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. He has worked in diverse roles across branch banking, wealth management and customer value management.

He is a Science graduate from University of Kolkata and has specialized in Finance with a postgraduate degree in Management from NMIMS, University of Mumbai.

Mr. Abhijit Gulanikar serves as a President- Business Strategy at SBI Life Insurance. With an extensive work experience of over 25 years in the insurance space be it Life, General or Corporate Finance sector, currently, Abhijit has played a significant role in the progression of SBI Life.

His experience ranges across the life cycle of the insurance industry especially setting up finance & investment functions from the beginning to assisting the company to launch an IPO. This apart, he has led various other business functions at varied organisations particularly investments, finance, strategy, strategic tie-ups etc.

Abhijit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, and has completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Institute of Cost &Works Accountants of India.

Being an avid reader, Abhijit’s favorite genre is crime fiction and is a keen sportsman who enjoys playing golf and badminton.

Mr. Sangramjit Sarangi is the President & Chief Financial Officer of SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and Law and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He has been associated with SBI Life since December 30, 2009. He has more than 23 years of experience in handling multiple functions in the field of Life Insurance and Mutual Fund industry.

Mr. Sarangi has worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company as Vice President – Treasury, Investment Operations & Finance. Currently, he is responsible for finance & taxation functions at SBI Life.

Mr. Durgadas is a Science Graduate with additional certifications from the Indian Institute of Bankers and Indian Institute of Insurance. He also holds certification from Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

Mr. Durgadas has overall 32 years of experience in Banking & Insurance. He started his career with SBI as a Probationary Officer. After working with Bank in various fields like credit / foreign exchange / Information technology he joined SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd in 2006. At SBI Life Insurance Co. Ltd he has handled various roles as Regional Head, Country Head (SBI Relationship) and Executive Vice President & Chief - Digital Initiatives and contributed immensely to the organisation.

Mr. Durgadas is passionate about and continues to keenly follows the Indian start-up culture and growth story. He also enjoys reading book, listening to music and travelling to unexplored locations.

Mr. Subodh Kumar Jha is the EVP & Chief of Human Resources and Management Services at SBI Life Insurance, who joined the Company in June 2022. He plays an active role in developing and implementing HR strategies aligning with the Company’s objective and employee value proposition, thereby making the company one of the best places to work.

He is responsible for providing strategic direction in key areas like Change Management, Training and Development, Organizational and Performance Management, Compensation etc.

A seasoned banker with a vast experience of over 30 years, he started his career as a Probationary Officer with the State Bank of India (SBI) in 1991 and since then has held several leading positions at SBI, across locations in India and internationally.

His rich experience spans across various business functions, such as Corporate Banking, SME and Retail Banking, International Banking Operations and in the Strategic Training Unit. He was posted as Senior Vice President at State Bank of India, Frankfurt, Germany from December 2014 to January 2019.

In his leisure time, he enjoys playing badminton and table tennis. He is a music enthusiast and fond of exploring new places.

Mr. Subhendu Kumar Bal is the Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer at SBI Life Insurance, joined the Company in 2008. With an extensive work experience of more than 29 years, he has worked in relevant fields in the life insurance space.

Mr. Bal possesses expertise across actuarial & non-actuarial functions of life insurance business. He is proficient in regulating future possible events, financial modelling etc. and meticulously analyses risk in different areas of insurance. Prior to joining SBI Life, he has worked with more than a couple of private insurance companies. He started his career with Life Insurance Corporation of India and then moved to the private life insurance sector.

He is a Fellow member of Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI), Fellow Member of Institute of Actuaries of UK (FIA) and a post graduate in Statistics from Kolkata University. He is the Immediate Past President and Council Member of Institute of Actuaries of India.

He has served as the President, Honorary Secretary and Chairpersons of Advisory group of Examination and HR, Admin & Finance of Institute of Actuaries of India. He was an examiner for the actuarial papers of Institute of Actuaries of India for several years.

Being awarded as the “Best Actuary – Life Insurance” at the ‘3rd Insurance Alertss Conclave and Excellence Awards -2019’ and ‘“CRO of the Year” by UBS Forums- 2022, he has also participated in several international seminars and discussions on topics related to actuaries and life insurance.

In his leisure time, he likes watching sports. An avid reader who ensures to keep himself updated on global news.

Mr. Prithesh Chaubey serves as the Appointed Actuary at SBI Life Insurance since 2020 and responsible for all actuarial activities within the Company. He carries with him an extensive experience of over 30 years in managing several aspects of insurance business including Actuarial, Risk Management, Product Development, Finance, Investment, Reinsurance, and Group business. Being in the actuarial profession, he has hands on experience in managing risk & uncertainty related to business.

Prior to joining SBI Life, Mr. Chaubey was the Chief & Appointed Actuary at TATA AIA Life Insurance and Reliance Nippon Life Insurance.

Mr. Chaubey is as a Fellow Member of the Institute of Actuaries of India as well as a Fellow member of Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK and holds a graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics from Lucknow University. He has been closely associated with the Institute of Actuaries of India and is currently, the Chairperson of Advisory Group on Life Insurance of the Institute.

Mr. Chaubey is a poetry lover who rejoices in penning down poems in Hindi and keeps himself immersed in literary work. He is a sports enthusiast specially cricket and an intrepid explorer.
