Mr. Ramesh Venkateshamurthy is a seasoned banking leader with over 32 years of experience in the financial services industry. A Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), he brings deep expertise across banking operations, customer service, and digital banking.

Mr. Ramesh began his career with the State Bank of India in 1994 and has since held several managerial and executive roles within SBI. Prior to joining SBI Life as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, he served as General Manager - YONO Retail, SBI, where he was responsible for driving the Bank's digital banking initiatives and overseeing its UPI portfolio, while maintaining a strong focus on business growth and compliance.

Earlier, as Deputy General Manager – Customer Experience at SBI's Corporate Centre in Mumbai, he played a key role in strengthening the Bank's grievance redressal framework through the introduction of Circle Complaint Resolution Centres and the implementation of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) framework. He also oversaw key policies relating to customer rights, grievance redressal, and compensation.

His extensive leadership footprint includes serving as Deputy General Manager – Business & Operations at the Administrative Office in Thrissur, Kerala, where he managed a large business portfolio and oversaw the region's expansive branch network.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading books and participating in quizzes, reflecting his curiosity and passion for continuous learning.
