Meet Prasad Joshi. Recently retired from Indian Postal Services, Mr Joshi has returned to his charming hometown, Jabalpur and is planning a secret celebration for his Wife Sudha, on their 35th anniversary. But as evening unfolds, destiny has a surprise in store for Mr. Joshi, he receives a box of undelivered letters, which changes the course of things, in an astonishing way! Get ready for a riveting journey through love, laughs, and the heart touching tales of fate only on Chitthiyaan!
Bus Ride
Unsettled by his fight with Amit, Mr Joshi decides to read the first letter. In a moment of uncertainty, he chooses to open the first letter, knowing little that he is embarking on the most transformative journey of his lifetime. Moved by the story of a newly-wed couple, Vikas and Priyanka, and their honeymoon bus ride, a young couple embarking on a honeymoon, Mr. Joshi's heart begins to stir with emotion. Mr Joshi cancels his anniversary celebration. He puts on his apron and walks to the Kitchen.
Phata Ticket
Enjoying his usual cold coffee at his favorite spot, CA Cafe, Mr Joshi is made aware of the financial struggles of his dear friend, Amod. The next letter unfolds the Story of Ayush and Neha, who bring two lovers together with a sweet little lie. The letter rings a bell to Mr Joshi. He starts his scooter and rides to Amod’s abode.
Toofan Mail
To his surprise, Mr Joshi is joined by Sudha to read the next letter. This letter reveals the story of Akash and his house help Vipin! Aakash who always questioned his passion of being a filmmaker, creates a short documentary on Vipin, which changes his life forever. This letter makes Mr Joshi ponder upon Amit’s decision to open his own salon.

It has been a long time that Mr. Joshi met his brother, Jitesh. The passage of time has not resolved the conflict amongst them.Meanwhile, Mr Joshi reads the next letter. The story is of Siddharth and Varun, two aspiring young cricketers aiming to make a mark in the Cricket Team and how the sacrifice of one for another, change their cricketing careers for the better. The letter brings back old memories and Mr Joshi leaves to meet Jitesh.
Flashback
Mr Joshi is a man of great talents. One among them is the delicious Biryani his makes, the story of which goes back to his youth. Once an aspiring chef, Mr Joshi shares a dramatic flashback tale of a savior chef, who is none other than himself.
Father & Son
Mr Joshi is yet to recover from his recent injury and Amit begins his web search to find the true receipts and writers of the letters. Helping his father with his expert head massage, Amit and Mr Joshi read their first letter together. The letter moves Prasad Joshi, leading him to question his opinion on Amit’s plan.
CA Cafe
Prasad Joshi, returns to CA Cafe to read the last letter. And to his surprise it is no less than the perfect closure to the dramatic tale. Joshi, with teary eyes and a warm heart, runs to Amit!
