Incidence of cataract blindness, annually at 3.28 million, is one of the most prevalent health ailments suffered by senior citizens, particularly in rural pockets of our country. A majority of them are blind for want of a simple cataract operation. To restore vision among elderly citizens in the rural parts of the country, SBI Life has rolled out in partnership with Helpage India, a respected non-profit organization, their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project - "Gift Drishti". Restoring vision is done through Intra Ocular Surgery (IOL).
